Tim "Bater" Bate is an ultra technically correct top order batsman with the most sumptious technique seen this side of an MCC coaching manual. That Bater looks like he could be still playing schoolboy cricket owing to his perpetually-fourteen-year-old appearance only adds to the mans mystique. Opposing teams sledge "the mascot" when Bater steps out to the crease, only to be eating their words when the pocket dynamo unleashes a pull shot to the boundary and a text book cover drive for four more to show them who is boss. Bater is just as resourceful on the night club circuit where he utilises his cherubic looks to snag the chicks with exceptional skill. Bater is the master of cool.
