The Old Scotch 1st XI defeated Melbourne University by 5 wickets today at Meares Oval with skipper Tom Murray continuing his hot early season form with a wonderful 96 to spearhead the Scotchies run chase.

In tandem with the youthful batting prodigy Cameron Melville who contributed 40, the pair put on a splendid match winning partnership.
