Chris Nutter

 

Every club needs a resident Saffer to keep things on the straight and narrow. Old Scotch Cricket Club is blessed to have the services of star all rounder Chris "Nuts" Nutter. Don't let the surname fool you, Nuts is anything but a nutter. In fact he is an astute student of the game and a deep tactical thinker. Like all Yarpies, Nuts is very handy with a bit of wood in his hands (we are talking willow here folks) and he has the ability to play with a technical artistry that is not within the realms of the rest of us mere mortals. With the ball, Nuts has the ability to make deliveries kick off the wicket in a disconcerting manner that belies his medium pace. A fantastic fieldsman in any position and an all round top bloke, you would be hard pressed to find a better clubman. However, it would be remiss of us not to point out that his dance moves on the night club circuit are rather suspect as this photo proves! Away from the dance floor, Nuts is a fantastic club man and class player where it counts - out on the field.
